Reviews are so subjective that it isn’t until you have your own experience that you know how deservedly accurate they really are - or aren’t. There is a reason why this practice has consistently high ratings.
First, I’m a dental coward at the worst level. I had tried 3 other places after many years of suffering and couldn’t find the right fit. Lots of places are “fine” - their people are nice, they practice normal dentistry - but I was looking for knowledgeable people well past the point of practicing!
Sagewood has a staff that is far above the norm. They are warm, personable, genuine, funny, and kind. From the front to the back, Sagewood has managed to acquire and keep a consistently exceptional staff that treats clients like you’re part of the family. They bend over backwards to accommodate your schedule, your needs, etc and without any attitude or implied inconvenience.
I have had the pleasure (a term I NEVER would have thought I would use in reference to anything dental) of interacting with 2 of the phenomenal dentists here - originally Dr Solomon and then Dr Sergerie. Both are highly skilled and personable.
It turned out that the vast majority of the work I had done was performed by Dr Sergerie who should be the poster dentist for the ADA. She is an absolute artist at all she does. Incredibly skilled and specific with great attention to detail, she’s also kind, funny, warm, personable, calm, confident, and humble. She is the human equivalent of a Valium in the effect she has on a patient. I don’t believe I could have gotten through the work I needed done with anyone else. I had to have a number of numbing injections and there was very little pain involved. She’s a rockstar at everything she does.
The dental assistant I had with Dr Sergerie was Aidan. Aidan is another amazing exception to what I have experienced in dental assistants elsewhere. He’s knowledgeable, has a personality that puts you immediately at ease, is talented, attentive, kind and personable. It was such a great experience the first time that I requested he be the assistant in all of my many follow up appts!
If all you need is a good cleaning, Tamma is also the best hygienist I’ve ever had. My mouth usually hurts for a couple days after other hygienists complete my cleaning. Not so with Tamma. And my teeth were well and thoroughly cleaned. She also has a delightful personality.
If you haven’t adopted a TL;DR stance by now and have gotten this far, you have seen that I can’t say enough good things about this practice. I waited until I was done with my multiple appointments because I honestly thought it was going too well and was too good to be true; surely something was going to go badly somewhere. But nothing did. I have never been rushed through an appointment or been made to feel like a PITA. Even when appointments ran longer than expected and beyond normal hours, everyone was kind and gracious. I never once felt like I was just “business” to them. I actually no longer dread a dental appointment and have long stopped trembling through the appointments.
This is the kind of care and service that is virtually impossible to find. Here it still exists. Come get it while you still can.
